Reef Fishing  (3/4 day- 5 hours)

Our most popular trip! Forget the nightmare experience you may have had as a child on an old party boat. Put aside the memories of roaring diesels, the stench of bait buckets and the heaving of rough seas. On the “Last Local”, all you will sense is the sweet smell of the Gulf and the faint sounds of a clean burning Yamaha. The seas will be nice and calm for the trip, with land well in sight. Pure enjoyment!

On the open waters of the Gulf, we will pursue the offshore “heavyweights”. Grouper, Snapper, Amberjack and King mackerel are targeted over the many natural and artificial reefs. These trips are customized for all experience levels and age groups.

  • $550 for 1-2 anglers (3rd and 4th anglers can be added $50 each)
  • Additional fishing time beyond 5 hours may be requested by the client: $100 each additional hour
  • 20% gratuity is customary

Bay & Coastal Fishing  (Half day- 4 hours)

From the calm bays of St. Andrews to the beaches of the Gulf, we will target the hottest bite on the water! Speckled trout, Redfish, Flounder, Gray Snapper, Sheepshead and Spanish mackerel are the top targets. These trips are family friendly. A great experience for all experience levels and age groups.

  • $450 for 1-2 anglers (3rd and 4th anglers can be added $50 each)
  • Additional fishing time beyond 4 hours may be requested by the client: $100 each additional hour

Shark Fishing  (3/4 day- 5 hours)

Watch sharks circle the boat in shallow water! Dare to cast a live bait in front of one and hold on! An incredible Summer time experience. These trips are recommended for anglers with good casting skills and patience.

  • $550 for 1-2 anglers
  • Additional fishing time beyond 5 hours may be requested by the client: $100 each additional hour

Tarpon Fishing  (Full day- 6 hours)

Experience the ultimate game fish, the Silver King! The fishing heats up in June, July and August. Tarpon charters are recommended for the experienced angler with good casting and fish fighting skills. Extreme patience and the ability to deal with summer heat are required.

  • $600 for 1-2 anglers
  • Additional fishing time beyond 6 hours may be requested by the client: $100 each additional hour

Dolphin & Island Tour  (Half day- 4 hours)

Join Capt. Vann for an incredible dolphin encounter and private boat tour to beautiful Shell Island. On the way to and from the island, we will look for our favorite friends, the bottle nosed dolphin. The odds of close up interaction is very high. You may even have the chance to swim with them! Once on the island, you can walk the magnificent gulf side beaches or simply relax on a beach towel. Snorkel gear is made available, just in case you feel like taking a swim. The captain and the boat will remain accessible should any needs arise during your stay.

  • $350 for up to 4 passengers / $400 for 5 passengers

Snorkel & Island Tour  (Half day- 4 hours)

Last Local offers snorkel and island tour combinations for the true adventurer! Book a private boat tour with Capt. Vann to experience incredible inshore snorkeling locations and explore the crowned jewel of Panama City Beach, Shell Island. Snorkel gear is provided. These trips are recommended for strong swimmers with snorkeling experience.

  • $350 for up to 4 passengers / $400 for 5 passengers
  • $100 per hour, each additional hour as requested by client
  • 20% gratuity is customary

 Booking

  • Deposit – a $100.00 deposit will be held at the time of booking via Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover. This deposit will be completely refunded only in the event that your trip is cancelled by the Captain due to inclement weather or unforeseen emergency.
  • Payment – Credit cards are preferred, although cash and personal checks will be accepted for final payment. A 4.0% processing fee will be added to all credit card transactions.
  • Cancellations – weather cancellations are at the discretion of the Captain. Client cancellations placed between seven to three days of the trip will be charged the $100.00 deposit. Client cancellations placed within two days of the trip will be charged the remaining full balance. Please call (850)774-0909 with all cancellation request.

What you should bring (please pack lightly)

  • drinks & snacks (we provide an iced down cooler)
  • polarized sunglasses (the only way to see what’s in the water)
  • sunscreen (DO NOT bring oil, aerosol, tanning or Zink screens)
  • towel
  • rain jacket (it’s Florida, you never know)
  • NO BANANA’S! They bring bad mojo to any boat! (story to be told)

What you should wear

  • boat or water shoes with non-marring soles (they will eventually get wet)
  • fishing clients should wear clothing they don’t mind getting fish stained
  • ball cap or hat
  • please, no jean pants or shorts (the dye stains boat upholstery)

Sea Sickness Policy

Nothing will ruin a day on the water like sea sickness. No one is fully immune from it. Some people are simply more susceptible to its symptoms. Roughly one third of the population are highly susceptible to motion sickness. The captain is responsible for the overall safety and wellbeing of the crew. In the unfortunate event any crew member becomes ill from sea sickness, the captain has full discretion to cancel the remainder of the trip and return to port. Under this circumstance the trip is considered final. There are no refunds of charter time lost or money due. Please understand the captain want’s nothing more than a truly enjoyable experience on the water for every client, but cannot be held liable for the illness of crew members. 

Safety first!

The captain is responsible for the overall safety of the crew. All persons on board are under the captain’s authority and are his ultimate responsibility. Please respect the recommendations of the captain. Note: USCG maximum vessel capacity is 1,100 pounds. This weight limit must be upheld by the captain.
